Editorial Standards and Corrections Policy

These are the rules every page on EthiopianBibleBooks.com is written and reviewed against, and the process for correcting mistakes when we make them.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Every factual claim that a reader could reasonably question is supported by a cited source, following the hierarchy in our methodology.
  • We quote and paraphrase sources faithfully, and we do not cite a source for something it does not say.
  • We distinguish clearly between what the church teaches, what scholars have established, and what is uncertain or disputed.
  • We do not invent statistics, quotes, reviews, ratings, endorsements, or experiences.

Respect and neutrality

The Ethiopian Bible is sacred scripture for millions of people. We write about it with respect and describe the church’s beliefs accurately and in its own terms. We do not argue for or against any denomination’s position on which books are scripture.

Separation from commercial interests

Reference content is written to answer readers’ questions, not to sell products. Our own study guide is clearly identified as ours wherever it appears, and it is never presented as a neutral recommendation. Any affiliate links will be disclosed as set out in our advertising disclosure.

Use of software and AI tools

We may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help draft and edit text. These tools are never treated as sources. Every factual claim must be checked against a cited source before publication, and the editorial team is responsible for the final text.

Corrections policy

We want to know when we get something wrong. To request a correction:

  1. Email partners@ethiopianbiblebooks.com with “Correction” in the subject line.
  2. Include the address of the page, the statement you believe is wrong, and, if possible, a source that supports the correction.
  3. We aim to review every correction request within seven days and will reply to let you know what we decided.

If we find an error, we fix it promptly. When a correction changes the meaning of a page, we add a dated note at the end of that page describing what changed, and we update the page’s “last updated” date. Spelling, grammar, and formatting fixes are made without a note.
