• If you join the study guide notification list, we store your email address and use it only for that purpose.

Study guide notification list

If you choose to sign up, we store your email address, the date you signed up, the page where you signed up, and your consent. We use it only to email you when the study guide is published. We will not use it for anything else, or add you to any other list, unless you separately agree.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it to reply and, for corrections, to improve the page concerned.

Technical information

Like all websites, our servers and hosting provider receive technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure, and understand overall traffic. We do not use it to identify you.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure visits and activity, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use pages, including through interaction measurements, heatmaps and session recordings. These services can collect information such as pages visited, device and browser details, approximate location, interactions, and online identifiers, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Clarity may capture content displayed or entered on a page; sensitive form fields may be masked. We may also use cookieless Umami analytics through Replit to count page views and events. We do not intentionally send notification-list email addresses as analytics events.

The site and its database are hosted by Replit. Google provides Google Analytics, and Microsoft provides Clarity; they process information collected through their services. These providers may process information in the United States or other countries. See Google’s privacy policy and Microsoft’s privacy statement for information about their practices.

• Notification list addresses are deleted once the launch notification has been sent, or earlier if you ask us to delete them.
• Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up.
• Technical logs are kept for a limited period set by our hosting provider.
• Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the relevant service and its provider’s policies.

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing partners@ethiopianbiblebooks.com. You can remove yourself from the notification list at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honour requests made under those laws.

You can manage or delete cookies in your browser. Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its “last updated” date before the change takes effect.
